The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a home with a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family money will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households website with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identity Document numbers, click here names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
